*SMUNCH!*

Well, flippety-fuck. In a 15-second microburst of 70+mph straight line winds during a thunderstorm on Wednesday, THIS happened...

Sure, I know that in comparison to flooding along the Mississippi, or fucked-up elections in Zimbabwe, this is hardly a blip on the radar. Still, it's MY radar now, and I get to deal with it. I called the insurance company about 15 minutes after this happened, so it all got turned in before the long weekend. And, next-door-neighbor came over and asked if HE could have the wood (he has a backyard firepit...probably in violation of all city ordinances, but whatever), and when we got back from my mom's today all this brush was gone. Yay! So, suffice it to say: when the dude on the radio or TV advises you to take cover from a storm? Do it.

And now, here's a better picture, to leave you in a happy mood...

UGH! Glad no one was hurt in that...

Love the picture, I can't decide if she looks more like Tess or you, but Mike said with the tongue out she looks like you!

Gah. Those pics are making me look askance at the huge maple in our back yard that provides us with such lovely shade in the summer.

The last picture? Awesome!!
